Disconnected uses a mixture of canon characters and original characters. The original Kingdom Hearts characters, along with the handful of Final Fantasy and the World Ends with You characters. Final Fantasy characters can be used with their original appearance if you wish. The characters listed on this list are not used as NPCs within the worlds of Kingdom Hearts Online. Instead, they are actual people who have logged into a game they might never win.

There are two groups of canons, the Organization and Free Form. The Organization is a mixture of Organization XIII and a select few. These characters work under Xehanort, and his inner circle consists of Xigbar, Xaldin, Luxord, and Lexaeus. Others work various jobs the further their boss's master plan, though anyone outside of the inner circle can only speculate just what Xehanort's true goal is. How they know the big boss is up to you, so you can either go the "worked on the game" route or some other means of being close enough to have a hidden mod status.

Free Form characters are just that: free form. That means that they can be students, celebrities, or perhaps just someone who has yet to move out of their parents' house. They just cannot be working for the Organization and have absolutely no knowledge on what is going on other than what everyone else knows.

Please note that the name given on the list is their screen name. Free form canons can have any real name you desire, or they could have used their real name as their screen name (such as if you're playing Cid Highwind and want to keep his real name as Cid Highwind; his screen name would still be Cid). The only exception to this are the Nobodies who have canon Somebody names; please use that as their real given name. Roxas and Namine for obvious reasons. Also, please remember that they were born and raised on Earth. Their histories will not be anything like any canon history they have. If you wish for family relations between characters, leave your history ambigious and speak with the roleplayer of that character.

Two more things! If you wish to apply for any canon with a blue name, please PM Vayne and Poptart! There are some things to discuss about that character since things are not as they seem with those characters. And, finally, black and white images means that a character is already taken. Hover over the image to see who took them.
