You come home after a long day waiting around at the store. In your hands is a fresh copy of Kingdom Hearts Online, and you eagerly tear into it and the latest model of VR headwear. You get comfortable on your bed and log into the game, creating your avatar and selecting your starting world. Things go smoothly until you try to log out. Where's the logout button? An announcement appears before you, overtaking your menu screen as a hooded figure begins to speak. You are not allowed to leave this game until you manage to clear all of the worlds and save the Seven Princesses of Heart. Will you survive or succumb to the darkness within?
Roxas is a highly advanced being of artificial intelligence. Ah, but, you have no idea about that, huh? Scratch that. Roxas was a boy born one stormy day in Germany. His mother passed away when he was younger, and he was subject to bullying at school. He was tossed back and forth between relatives until he ended up in an orphanage. He was soon adopted by the creator of this wonderful game you have found yourself trapped inside, but, while he may idolize his 'father', he is not about to let that information leak.
potential ideas
I'm going to go ahead and say that Roxas needs a handful of people he goes super close to (be it the obvious few or the less obvious everyone else) because he needs someone to make him feel more like a human. And, hey, who else is up for the drama to unfold towards end game? I'm not.
That's, honestly, all I have a "need" for. Otherwise, he is up for any sort of plot you can think about. Friends? Go for it. Enemies? Definitely. Person who is just out to make his life miserable? Let's do it. Romance? I mean, go for it, if you want. I'm not going to stop you, but it might be heavily one-sided unless Roxas does manage to truly develop the human emotion of 'love'.
rakutsu & Roxas Obviously we're going to try to become friends since we're trapped in a video game. ;D It'd kinda suck if Rox went around making enemies without orders from above.
So bro I see these two being okay at first but maybe clashing? Vanitas doesn't want the game to end and will do anything to make sure that doesn't happen. Doesn't matter who he has to go against except for his brother and Sister and possible other siblings those are the people he won't sacrifice in his quest. So perhaps his methods and such begin to hurt Roxas' friends and innocent people which lead to them ending up in one big epic brotherxbrother clash that ends with roxas as the victor because good must triumph.
vanitas & Roxas Yeah, no, little bro Rox will only tolerate so much of big bro Van's antics. Once those start messing with his friends, Keyblades will fly. I mean, unless a certain Superior says they need to get over themselves and get back to work. Don't mess with the Superior.
Oh, god, I just noticed how awkward the reply button looks. I should fix that.
Roxas & Axel Well, Well, Well. What do we have here? Do my eyes spy a Roxas, Le Roxel? I mean, yes. Let's plot. So, I don't want to be cliche and say these two should be friends, so they should at least be allies in some way considering they're on the same team and what not. Lea already has a heart from the time he spent with his bestfriend Layla, though Lea is also quite solitary. He always has been. Anyway, Roxas would know Lea as Axel in the game. He might actually know him as the Art coder/designer for the game since he worked on it closely but isn't in the inner circle. idk. I'll take whatever you want to give me, really.
axel && Roxas I was actually going to be very mad if you didn't plot with me. /shot.
Cliches are good, though.
I actually never even thought about how much the 'kids' would know about the team that worked on the game. If anything, he might vaguely know the real names of everyone and their jobs through access to information that would have otherwise been suppressed for the purpose of making this seem more real to him.
(^~^;)ゞ
The allies thing works for now. Roxas is actually meant to keep tabs on the Organization, though any protocols to do so are unknown to him at the moment. When the Organization gets their guild (which is easier to accomplish if we do get a Xemnas, but otherwise something else might have to happen, idek), Roxas is kinda meant to be paired up with other Organization members for quests and whatnot for the guild. A lot of their interaction before and during then could be a little forced just to get them talking (I mainly say this 'cause Roxas is more likely to people watch than to initiate any sort of interaction).
Aaaaand, we can see where that goes? :D 'Cause there's a long game ahead of them, and I'm cool with anything.
Roxas & Axel lol I wanted to plot right away, but I wasn't sure if it would be welcomed. you'll have to forgive me, I'm kinda shy online and a bit paranoid.
Hm, I thought maybe they would know them right away but I suppose not! Which is fine, I guess because Vanitas and Roxas are both the creator's children, that they wouldn't know anything useful beyond what you said. Which makes sense.
Bad Roxas! Though he doesnt know that. lmao It'll be nice to have a guild. We need le Xemnas. I don't mind forced. Axel is a little more outgoing online, so he probably would talk a bit more at Roxas until the kid starts actually talking back. He finds it boring to have a stilted partner. Adventure is half communication and full of fun, after all.
Yes, let's see how it goes! I'm fine with anything as well. ^_^
It would be a little strange for the AIs to have memory of the studio team since they wouldn't have a physical body of any form, so the studio team actually wouldn't know of them other than the heads of departments maybe. It would just be awkward for them to be like "Hey XX! :D" and then they would be like "who is this child and why do they know my name?"
Ahem.
We do need a Xemnas. I:< I kinda have future plans of, like, Roxas completely rejecting the whole "not human" thing much later on and then Xemnas/Xehanort wiping his memory and bringing forth the "zombie" Roxas. Make him go through the whole figuring out emotions thing again and frustrating everyone he has made connections to in the process. But, before all that, it definitely won't take too long to get him talking. Depends on the conversation, but he won't just stare. xP
Do you want them to meet up now, or do you wanna wait for those quests to be thrown up so they could meet/team up that way? o:
I honestly thought he was a real boy! I find it interesting that he's actually an arti. but lmao
That sounds like a crapton of fun. Axel will be hurt all that Roxas doesn't remember him. (duh) I will try to make Axel make interesting conversation, but knowing my Axel, it'll probably be random junk or related to the game.
let's have them meet up now! Because hello, fun. and then a quest later on.
The site is done! Maybe! We think we're done, so that's good enough. Advertising is starting up, the maintenance mode has be lifted, and we're now allowing the creation of characters! If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask. However, if you have a long list of questions, we suggest posting in the Questions & Suggestions board located within the Lounge. Please note that we might have forgotten something, so your input is very important!
Quests will begin within the next few weeks. We are allowing members to get situated, make characters, plot it up, and provide input before we begin the progression of the game.
