Elrica was raised in Heidelberg, Germany under the tutelage of Dominican nuns and sisters. She never met her parents, though she asked her caretakers all they told her was that they were loving parents, but weren't the most fortunate. She didn't insisted or persisted-- she was a good girl but mostly because she didn't want to bother knowing, she was contented with her what she had.

Nothing stood out about her childhood at all. She acted a little timid compared to the other girls and displayed a love for rpg games but that was all to it. She studied well, she played a lot and helped maintain the convent. Everything's normal and she's happy about that. Being a person of high ambitions, Elrica tried her luck and applied for college scholarship. She wanted to be a doctor but she obviously didn't have enough funds for her studies. Fortunately, she received the scholarship and was sent to Berlin to study in a private university.

Though living away far from her family was hard, she endured it for the sake of her dreams. She wanted to help the sisters and this was the price she had to pay. Elrica struggled but managed to survive her first year- graduating from senior high a year early than most - with no failing grades, but with minimal socialization. On her second year, now much comfortable and confident, she began exploring; making more friends, attending parties, cosplay convention and other events. She had also began opening up about her interest in gaming until one day she found herself testing a game for a friend: Kingdom Hearts Online, a virtual reality MMORPG. She thought nothing would go wrong but she made a mistake... once she had engaged herself in the game, there was no going back.
