Teryn doesn't tend to make friends easily. It's not entirely through lack of trying. He tries. He tries so hard. But since he went through a lot of his schooling years avoiding most of the cliques - and indeed, avoiding most attention at all - and what few friends he made often ended up leaving him when the situation of his home life was revealed, scared off by the father who treated his sons more like possessions than actual people and by the younger brother who was clingy and whining and demanding to the only steady source of warmth in his life. Add to that the fact that Teryn really doesn't manage a social life and his studies well at all (with the casualty being his social life) and he doesn't tend to hold onto his friends.

That being said, however, he honestly does enjoy making friends, even if it takes a lot for him to consider someone a friend. He labels his friends based upon those he would trust to get him out of trouble if he asked, regardless of time or distance, and those he would do the same for in return. However, once his friendship and respect have been earned, he is a faithful man, loyal until the day that you either mess with one of his loved ones or you do something that not even he can forgive you for. Or you just stop talking to him. That's a very valid way to end the friendship.
Teryn doesn't make enemies in the sense of him genuinely seeing people as rivals. Or at least, that's what he would like to have you believe. In truth? In truth, the man is fiercely protective of those he considers dear. Antagonizing them is a surefire way to anger him, and when angered, although he may not show it on his face, he is certainly not above expressing it in his own way. Harsh. Petty. Childish. These are all traits that can manifest themselves with a vengeance when given ample opportunity to grow within him, and he can be downright vicious when the people he cares for are threatened.

Outside of earning his undying hatred of you, there's a few ways to earn his disdain and disrespect. Treating others poorly. Belittling your lessers. Cheating someone out of things they earned fairly. Ignoring the rules because you want to or think yourself above them. He may not be the unbending ruler of some of his friendscough Angeal Hewley hack but that by no means predisposes him to allowing such violations. He just won't go excessively out of his way to correct it if he doesn't feel that it's something that needs to be addressed.
Teryn has remained mostly oblivious to romance. Okay, maybe not in the sense that he's entirely unaware of it, but for the most part, he's been left well enough alone by love for the past few years. He dabbled a little bit with dating in high school, but there was only so far you could go when you were a member of a geeky gaming squad, even if being a nerd was cool at the time. Plus being consumed by your schoolwork while in college tends to put a damper on your romantic life, though he would have made efforts on the occasions that he happened to remember that he should be caring about maintaining the relationship.

I'm also trash and totally imagine he dabbled in a thing with a few of the other members of First Class and I'm not sorry.
Do you have another idea that's not listed here?Or, y'know, you're interested in getting involved in First Class, the gaming group for the FFVII canons that will hopefully eventually become a guild when that becomes a thing? Maybe you just want to mess with his eventual endgame of having to choose whether he wants to remain in the game as Sephiroth or return to the real world as Teryn. I don't know. You have certainly plenty of options here.

Honestly though, if you got something else in mind, feel free to hit me up. What's the worst that can happen, I say that wouldn't work and we try to work something else out. So come on, come love the man whose fatal flaw is that everyone around him seems determined to isolate and abandon him until he snaps.Oops wrong game... or is it?
