Okay, maybe the title is a misnomer as this is intended to be something that goes across all of the Final Fantasy VII brats, not just the ones in SOLDIER, but I digress. I'm really just a giant nerd looking for a whole bunch of other giant nerds.
[break][break]
Basically, Sephiroth (aka Teryn Ross) ended up getting into gaming by making friends with a small group of gamers who called themselves First Class. The lot of them would play a high fantasy dungeon MMO game called LovelessWhat no it's definitely not a FFXIV type game based around Genesis' beloved classic, what are you talking about while in-character. While some got more into it than others, this lot of high schoolers absolutely formed a little friend group and everything was working just fine until Teryn graduated and while he was at college, he fell out of gaming (and a lot of their circle since college was hard and he doesn't multitask well) and his baby brother hacked his account and began to troll them.
[break][break]
He's hooked up with them again and although he's still a member of the group, I'm going to leave it entirely open for how each person handles his explanation and treats him. There's a lot of room for accepting him and his explanation, accepting it and holding him responsible for the harm his brother did, or not believing it at all and just considering him a giant jerk. Regardless, they're all hooked up again, and it'd be cool if most of them were also from HellMichigan but they can be from the general area or friends they made online and pulled into the group too. Also bonus points for the Turks being a rival guild from the old game and fun times tbeh.
[break][break]
Just give me all the dorks getting back together again. Also if I'm missing anyone please feel free to hit me up anyway, that is also more than fine, this is just the ones I got set up right now.

Sephiroth, otherwise known as Teryn Ross, is one of the core members of the current group. Or at least, he would be if he hadn't more or less fallen off the face of the earth while he was in college. His account, Sephiroth, was carried on in his absence however by his younger brother, who proceeded to troll the lot of them. He's since rejoined the group, however, he's still mostly on the outskirts and often is mistrusted for his brother's actions and behavior. He's considered an elite simply because of the amount of time he'd poured into his previous character on Loveless as well as due to the fact he was an original member of the group.

Genesis Rhapsodos is arguably the biggest manchild and piece of shit that was in SOLDIER. He's the drama queen and literal sinner of the original trio... and it would be wrong for him to be missing from the guild, especially given that it is his favorite, Loveless. I imagine that Genesis IRL was one of the original founders of First Class, along with his childhood friend Angeal, and he spent a lot of time in and out of the gaming and roleplay scenes. I also imagine that no matter how much he insists that he's up to par, in truth, when gaming, he's typically a filthy casual and just spends the entire time yelling at everyone going out of character since this is a divine act of creation and no one is allowed to ruin it. He likely dropped out when he went to college (and I personally headcanon him as a drama major who added the double for classics at the very last minute, which prevented him from graduating) but remained one of the closer friends with Sephiroth, hence why he believed him when the truth came out about the cracked account. Also please consider Genesis as a mage keyblader because he is a giant nerd and so would.

Every friendship group has the mom friend whose sole job it is to prevent them from making dumb decisions with his common sense and sheer exasperation. Well, Angeal has always been that friend. He was one of the co-founders of First Class, alongside his childhood friend Genesis, and he was probably the one who kept things from getting too out of hand since Genesis' flair for the dramatic would have ended up crashing and burning otherwise. It's a common trend of his life to be entirely honest. I imagine that he's from a single parent household and did a lot of manual labor and odd jobs growing up but managed to graduate from community college with a business degree and run a small flower shop. He also probably dropped off the group radar for the most part after Genesis and Sephiroth graduated and got busy since he mostly played for them (ironically he was probably higher leveled at Loveless than Genesis was) but he also stayed in touch with some of them. He's also gotten back in (read: dragged back by Genesis, as with most of his life decisions) and has remained faithful to Sephiroth in spite of the drama that has gone down since.

Mayday mayday filthy casual alert. Please proceed to the nearest exit. No but okay though, Lazard was probably one of Angeal's older friends whom Zack was also friends with. Cue an awkward conversation where Zack can't keep his mouth shut while blabbing on about the game and bingo, you got a ticket to a kid who did not know what he was getting into until it was too late. He's probably more of an occasional gamer than a legitimate one, but he still sometimes shows up in the logs like a ghost and would leave things in guild storage on Loveless. KH MMO ought not to be too much more of a stretch for him by this point. What no I didn't add him just to have an even set of six what are you talking about.

zack fair
Zack (Zachariah Fair) is, in many accounts, like a puppy. He's usually hyperactive, always cheery, and the sort who has surprisingly wise advice when actually asked and is amazing at getting along with everyone. In fact, without him, First Class likely would never have existed in the first place thanks to his draw and charisma, and for this reason, he was fantastic at helping to run it, even if he had to take steps back and let Cloud mostly take over the group as time went on. While I personally see him as a younger criminal justice major in college now, he's not nearly as developed as the other elites. Zack is, however, a very close friend to Angeal, and it was through him that a lot of communication with the original creators and the new crew is maintained. He's just the "keystone" of First Class, so to speak, and it's honestly not hard to see why given how much his personality brings people together, and he's really good at putting aside personal grievances in exchange for the betterment of the group at large (and probably has one of the best relationships with the Turks).

cloud strife
Cloud (Brandon Matthews) never asked for any of this. He probably didn't ask to be dragged into First Class to start with, but somebody had to stop Zack from being murdered. He didn't ask to take over the group after the original trio graduated and got eaten by college but somebody had to step up and fill those shoes and it sure wasn't going to be Aerith or Tifa. And so now he's just kind of the eternally exasperated man who just keeps the whole lot of them from ending up destroying the guild by annoying too many people. And coordinates meetings. And just in general manages the whole thing. He didn't ask for this. He never asked for this. But if he's going to be allowed to enjoy the stupid game, he's going to have to deal with this because he's Cloud Strife and he's lost control of his life.

Every dungeoning group needs a healer, and in this group, it happens to be Aerith. Aeris. Whichever floats your boat to be honest. A sweet girl and one of the "middle generation" of players with Zack and Cloud, Aerith tends to be forgiving and gentle, but don't cross her - if angered, she's not afraid to go off on someone and make them regret angering her. She was likely brought into the group via Zack and became friendly with Cloud at around the same time since Zack is shameless and dragged all his friends in. I imagine that in the real world, she's sick a lot or has some kind of disability, so to her, gaming would be very freeing and she had very high levels on Loveless but was often ignored because she had not just little desire to lead but also because she was perceived as weak simply because she focused more on healing (which made her more dependent on a group as a result).

Meet Tifa Lockhart, Cloud's official second in command. Mostly because Zack didn't have the same kind of backbone for it. A fierce fighter of moderate renown on Loveless for her distinct style of fighting unarmed, she often enforces a lot of the harder work of keeping the group going (and is likely among the ones most likely to fall out of the roleplay game they all engaged in). I imagine she and Cloud were very close in the real world, to the point where it was common for the two to meet up (although maybe not as common as it was with Genesis and Angeal, who were known to communicate from each others' phones) and deal with things. I also personally headcanon she's the oldest of a series of siblings so in a way, her helping to manage the group is just an extension of the duties she'd had as a big sister.

Have you ever had those guys who literally does just about the opposite of everything they're supposed to do? Yeah. Meet Barret Wallace. He was probably a super casual gamer brought into First Class, but of that, he's also among the most passionate. That being said, I think it might be really cool if he was one of their teachers who took an interest or maybe a dropout who stuck with the program, maybe after he had a child out of wedlock. He also looks out for the lot of them, mostly to keep them from ending up in trouble, and it all works out usually. Except for the times when he just makes a situation worse. What? It's been known to happen.

Am I in trouble for personally imagining Cid as an old friend of Cloud's from when he was little and who just caught him playing one day and just ended up involved in the group simply by mentioning he played the same game? No? Well okay then. That. No but okay I'm up for just about anything with Cid, but he's probably one of the newer players to the group and... surprisingly into the roleplay aspect of it. He also probably played the game more as an escape from the sheer humdrum of his life and didn't care much for the rest of the guild, so he probably more follows the rules to get Cloud to stop nagging him than because he honestly respects them.

Reeve for a suburban dad who got involved in the group after they rescued him early on from a bunch and he's just kind of eternally confused but he rolls with what's going on with First Class? No but okay I honestly have no idea what's going on with Reeve, just that he's involved and I just picture him as the guy who has no idea what's going on and just rolling with everything. It got him through a surprising portion of Loveless (which he probably played via his son's setup sometimes) and it'll get him through this new game. Since I am probably the only one who would find it cute if Yuffie got into this via Zack babysitting her and teaching her to play Loveless, I'm going to guess that Yuffie probably got into the group originally on a dare. Likely from Zack. And then Zack got his butt whooped since he didn't know she was already playing and she's been a part of First Class ever since. It's awkward. She still enjoys whooping everyone else's butts in the group. But at the end of the day, she'd defend them harshly because it's like family. She can mess with them all she wants, but when you so much as look at them wrong, she'll punch you in the jaw. She also has arguably more energy than Zack if pushed. Do not mess with the spunky dynamite.

Okay, this is more personal headcanon time, but I personally imagine that Vincent was originally a player that was part of the Turks once upon a time in Loveless and then he got kicked out or they mistreated him and he ended up leaving. And after that he ended up joining up with the rest of them some time after Sephiroth was retired and maybe early on in the trolling situation. I personally also headcanon him as a grad student in real life working on a doctorate - probably in psychology - and he absolutely hates a lot of the stress so he games with the bunch of them to relieve some of the pressure. But he does it in a healthy way, unlike some of the otherslooking at you, Sephiroth. I also imagine he's a little older than a lot of the second group, but not by too much. He also probably doesn't get a lot of the inside jokes and is a lot more reserved about sharing stuff, but the rest of them drag him into things anyway. He and Cloud can lament about how they've lost control of their lives to be entirely honest.

I am honestly not sure which idea I like for this better, Kadaj actually being Sephiroth's little brother who started all the drama or related to Cloud in some way or a significantly younger member of a smaller guild that got absorbed into First Class back on Loveless because Kadaj decided to fixate on Cloud and Sephiroth. All of them sound like so much fun to be entirely honest. With that in mind, he's probably early high school or late middle school age and entirely the sort of player that is annoying to be around and takes the roleplay aspect too seriously.Cloud and Tifa probably regularly argued about whether or not to ban him since he's not doing anything wrong, he's just being annoying, and that's not a crime.

Yeah okay Yazoo is a little harder to do, but I imagine him as one of Kadaj's two absolute very best friends in the world right alongside Loz. The three of them probably all grew up together and were super close and are probably all around the same age ballpark, which puts them as around younger high school. They were likely absorbed into First Class either by Kadaj choosing to merge the two guilds in Loveless or by being dragged by the hero worship. Yazoo also probably has a weak spot for Kadaj so I could totally see him trying to emulate Sephiroth in an attempt to get Kadaj's attention. It did not work. Sorry baby.

Much like Yazoo, Loz is probably one of Kadaj's very best friends growing up and the trio were likely joined at the hip through most of their time together. He'd be in the younger age range for high school, like the other two, but he's also probably been held back a grade, so that would make a significant difference in where he would be able to be with them. Like the other two, he was taken into First Class very likely by Kadaj's decision that he might have protested but ended up going along with since he didn't want to play Loveless without them. He was very likely the brawn to their range and mage abilities, and as such, he would definitely focus on drawing the enemy to keep them safe. It's an easy thing to be honest.

Rufus is the leader and founder of the Turks, a small guild originally started on Loveless that has also moved over to KH MMO. What it lacked in numbers - especially in later years, after the mass exodus from the ranks - it more than makes up for in skill as all of the members are known to be some of the best that gaming has to offer. Rufus himself is a pro gamer, meaning that he has invested enough time and energy into his preferred games to win at tournaments, and given enough time and footholds, no doubt the same thing will happen here too. Provided Reno doesn't mess things up again.

If anyone is to blame for them all being trapped in the game, it's probably Reno. After all, it was his idea for them to take a break from Loveless to try the new game when it came out. It was his idea to all get on to make their characters and train on the first game "like a bunch of noobs" as Rude so aptly put it. Still, the pro gamer isn't entirely at fault here since it's not like he knew this all was going to happen. Although he's adjusted partially to solo missions, he works best when part of a team, hence why he's part of the Turks and often paired with Rude for things since he tends not to do so hot riding solo for a prolonged period of time.

Rude is a very serious pro gamer who knows what he's doing because he's been doing it for a long time. He's probably a bit of a systems nut and usually is tasked with finding the weak points of a defense and taking it down when involved in situations, both on Loveless and now on KH MMO. He also takes a certain pleasure in pointing Reno in a direction and watching his fellow gamer tear things apart. He's also the unofficial voice of reason for the Turks when Tseng isn't online to deal with it. He is not nearly as efficient with it because at some point, he just stops caring and leaves the lot of them to get in trouble on their own. Not his problem if they start a three-guild war.

A newer gamer who has only recently gone pro, Elena was taken in partially on merit and partially because Reno thought she'd be a good fit for the Turks. She's still learning the ropes in many regards, especially since she had significantly less progress on Loveless before they decided to try KH MMO, but that hasn't stopped her from being determined to be a credit to their little team. She's often accompanied by another Turk simply to make sure that if she antagonizes something beyond her, she has someone else who's able to handle it. In theory.

The bright and chipper decidedly less professional member of the Turks, Cissnei was taken in mostly because she was good friends or related to the existing members of the guild. Far more casual than her professional gaming counterparts, she's an acquaintance of Zack's as well and actually gets along the best with the other members of First Class as a result. For this reason, she's remarkably good at diplomacy and coercion, and she often was left in charge of coordinating tag team matches in Loveless. Her status in KH MMO is much more ambiguous (and potentially unexpected, because holla Cissnei not having been invited but ending up with them anyway because she happened to be interested in the game herself, more like sign me up).
