Leveling System!

Good evening everyone! Or morning. Or, uh, whenever you're reading this?
So, if you've been poking around the chat recently, you've probably seen us tell guests to, more or less, disregard the leveling system for now.
We've been discussing one form of leveling that might be better than the post based system we have right now, but it is a little hard to come to conclusions easily.
As such, we're putting it up to a vote! After all, this will change how the site does quests and whatnot, so we kind of need this to be finalized beforehand, and this concerns members more than it does staff.
Below, you will find descriptions of a few leveling systems we can implement. These are not the most fleshed out descriptions, but they should give you a good enough idea of what will be incorporated. The poll located at the top of this post should only be voted in once, and we can tell when members vote with multiple accounts.the "kiss" method
I don't know about the title, but you can ask Ace about that.
Basically, your "experience" will be based on your word count, though experience itself is not used. Upon the completion of a thread, a mod will come in, add up the word count of your posts, and you will receive levels if you meet requirements. The main requirement will be reaching a certain word minimum before the thread ends, but there will be other requirements that can be fulfilled for extra levels.
A post would be made in the info board listing most of the requirements (quest threads have their own set of sub-requirements for completion, and that would be the same for extra levels). It'd be something like: You've finished a thread! Mod comes in and awards levels (if any) based on--
- If Player X reached at least 5k words at the end of the thread
- If Player X beat up X amount of Heartless
- If Player X teamed up with Player Y to find the old lady's cat
the points method
This is a method I've used on Pokemon sites, and it is relatively easy to handle. Essentially, it is a small EXP system, but you can gather up those points to either be spent towards levels, skills, or abilities. It would kind of be like a points shop that is separate from the Moogle Shop.
These points would really only be given during quests, during events, or if PKing or dueling. They would be a "drop" from defeating enemies, and different tiers of enemies will drop different amounts. They add up as you progress through the quest, and (at least as the site I've used this on has shown) you can usually have enough points for a +2 or +3 level boost at the end of the quest. And, once more, these points would be also used towards custom skills and abilities if you think you're at high enough of a level for now.
This would also get its own post in the info board, both listing out the points given for the defeat of enemies by their tier and with information on the points shop. The points shop would get its own thread, and most likely the points needed to level up will be Next Level * 5 or something simple along the lines of that.OTHER
Do you have a suggestion for a leveling system? Then post below! Make sure you explain what you can in enough detail that both staff and members will understand. Make sure you title your method so Poptart can add it to the poll.
There is also talk of removing the level cap of 100, so there is always a next level to achieve.
