Positive - Mellow is, without a doubt, one of the kindest men you'll ever find. When it comes to his friends and family, he's always considerate. He's extremely caring, thoughtful, and wise when the time calls for it. He won't be the first to jump in and save someone but he'll definitely be the first one to say "I told you so" because you made him worry. Good guy Mellow is a good guy.

Negative - Mellow's extremely..eccentric to say the least. He's brutally honest, vulgar, and has no sense of personal space. He's the type of man to do what he wants because he wants too, regardless of what may follow. Is he an evil man? No. Will he side with evil should he find them entertaining? Easily.

"The world has always been just a game."

Starting from a very young age, this was the mindset of one Benjamin Newsome. Everything could be connected to the plot process of video games. Life was the start, death was Game Over. Because of this, he went from emotional to emotionless. Reactions became planned actions. There wasn't anything he hadn't accounted for, even him "loving" others.

He was often bullied in school; telling the kids that everything truly was just a game, that they were be played for fools. People don't seem to like it when you dub yourself "The Protagonist", must be some kind of superiority complex or something. Moving on, up to and throughout high school, Benjamin never made friends aside those with the same thought process. When he graduated from school, nothing really changed. A static world, a static man.

One thing he'd always found confidence in was his in-game persona, Mellow Valentine. To him, his soul rested inside this character. Benjamin didn't exist, and as far as he was concerned, he was as good as dead. Fast forward to four years after his graduation. He's currently 21 and one of the most intelligent men in his group of friends. After finding out about the release of KHO, there was no further discussion on what his plans were.
